June 2017 ipsy Review

Saturday, June 24, 2017

Hello lovely people! Today I'm talking about my June ipsy bag. I really liked the bag design this month! I feel like ipsy really has been giving us cute bags these past few months!
{Join ipsy here if you'd like.}

Okay now to the fun stuff...

The products in my bag:

- City Color Bold Brow Eyebrow Powder in Medium. At first I wasn't sure if this was the right shade for me. I thought it was a bit on the light side. But it turned out okay. It gave my eyebrows a natural and tamed look.

- BioRepublic SkinCare Aloe Rescue Revitalizing Fiber Mask & Green Tea Detox Purifying Fiber Mask. I love face masks and I love when I get them in an ipsy bag! I haven't used these yet. However, I have used masks from this brand in the past and I really liked them. So I am looking forward to trying these out! :)

- NYX Professional Makeup Whipped Lip & Cheek Soufflé in Pink Cloud. I used this the other day and I really enjoyed it. I used it on my lips and cheeks. It felt very creamy, soft, and moisturizing on my lips. The color is a really beautiful soft & bright pink. I love this shade because it's colorful but at the same time it's not too bright and overpowering. It's the perfect color for the summer! On my cheeks it gave a nice flushed pink color. I think it looked nice. I'm excited to use this product more.

- theBalm Cosmetics Balm Springs Blush. This is a really nice shade and it's very pigmented. However, I'm not really a fan of getting theBalm samples in my bag because I feel like they're so tiny and you don't really get a lot of use out of them. Needless to say, I was a bit bummed to be getting this. Especially because I put in my beauty profile that I didn't want it. I'll still use it because like I said, it's a good product. I just wish they'd give us a bit bigger samples.

- Skone Cosmetics Insanely Intense Tattooed Waterproof Eyeliner. Again, I was confused as to why I received this when I put in my beauty profile that I didn't want an eyeliner. I don't really use eyeliner very often. With that said, this product is really pigmented and I'll have to try it out on a day when I'm wanting to attempt a winged look. Eyeliner is a good thing to have around and I don't have many.

And lastly, I turned in some of my ipsy points and got this face mask from bioBelle. I previously received this in an ipsy bag back in Feburary and I really loved it!

What did you beauties get in your ipsy this month?

Maybelline Fit Me! Loose Finishing Powder Review

Friday, June 23, 2017

Hey guys! Thanks for visiting my little blog. Today I wanted to briefly talk about this product that I recently received in an Influenster VoxBox for testing purposes. All opinions stated are 100% my own! For those of you who don't know what Influenster is, it's a site that you review products on and take surveys that are emailed to you so you can be matched with a sample to review.

Okay so, let me start off by saying that I'm usually not a fan of face products that are powdered. I tend to have dry skin so it ends up settling in any dry patches on my face. However, with this product that didn't happen. It set my foundation and gave my face a nice finish. I was pleasantly surprised with this product!

Here is a picture after I used it. I know, the photo isn't very good quality but hopefully you can see how it worked on my skin.

Thank you Influenster & Maybelline for sending me this product to test out! I really enjoyed it and I'll most likely be buying it myself when I run out.

Have you guys tried this product or any others from the Maybelline Fit Me! collection? Let me know below in the comments! :)

Pure Body Naturals Dead Sea Mud Mask Review

Thursday, June 22, 2017

Hey everyone! So today I wanted to talk about a product that I have been using for a while now that I love. And that's the Dead Sea Mud Mask by Pure Body Naturals. This mask is supposed to minimize your pores, clear up acne,  remove toxins, & hydrate your skin.

I use a flat foundation brush to apply the mask. You can buy cheap mask brushes online through Amazon if you don't have an extra brush around your house.

I apply a thin layer all over my freshly washed face making sure to avoid the area around my eyes and mouth.  I leave it on for about 10-15 minutes then I rinse it off and pat my skin dry. I then use toner and then I put on my face moisturizer.

--

I really love this mask. It does everything that it claims to and it's affordable. You can find it on Amazon for about $14. It lasts a long time too - I've had my jar for nearly a year now and it's still pretty full!

If your skin in need of some hydration, blemish control, or some pore minimizing action then I definitely suggest using this mask! If you're interested in trying this out you can purchase it here.

What are some of your favorite face masks? Let me know in the comments!

As always thanks for stopping by!

Kristen

P.S. Since you guys last heard from me I got a new kitten! If you follow me on Instagram you already know this. Her name is River Song, she's a Lynx Point Siamese. She's a very sweet girl and I love her so much! I mean just look at that face, how could you not love her!?
