Antique Store Adventure

Friday, September 29, 2017

Hello lovelies! Welcome back to my little corner of the internet! :)

Today I wanted to share some photos from my recent trip to my local antique store. I am lucky enough to live very close to three lovely little antique stores. These photos that I'm sharing with you today are from my favorite one. It's called Uztabz Antiques. It's located in Independence, Missouri. If you're local I highly suggest that you check it out! They have lots of treasures to explore!

Fun little fact about myself: I love antiques. I am fascinated with anything from a bygone era. I've always been drawn to old things. I've always felt like my soul wasn't from this time. I love visiting antique shops any chance that I get.

{I thought this old cash register was the coolest!}

{Aren't old perfume bottles so pretty!? I want them all!}

{Some beautiful vintage brushes & mirrors.}

{Old children's toys & books.}

{I'm not sure why, but I love their light switch haha!}

All Girl Shave Club Review

Thursday, September 14, 2017

Hey lovelies! Thanks for dropping by my blog. Today I wanted to talk about All Girl Shave Club. If you're not familiar with this company they make razors, shaving creams, body scrubs, and even body butter. All of their products are made with women in mind.

They have a few different packages for you to choose from.
I ordered the 3 blade razor package that comes with shave butter. It's $18 and you can pause or cancel at anytime. It ships every other month and you get 6 razor cartridges, a jar of their whipped shave butter, and a shave tote (this only comes in your first order). You have the option to change the scent of the shave butter every other month as long as you remember to hop on their website and pick one. :)

Their razors give you a super close shave without causing any irritation. So it's ideal for those with sensitive skin like myself. Their lovely whipped shave butter makes for a better & closer shave. It also leaves your legs feeling silky smooth and hydrated long after you've finished shaving. It comes in five wonderful scents: Pink Champagne (what I got), Flirty Mermaid, Vanilla Cupcake, Cotton Candy, & Unicorn Kisses.  Oh and they are paraben free!

Scent descriptions (from their website):

Pink Champagne
- A very crisp aroma of sparkling white wine with nuances of pomegranate and green apple with hints of rose and geranium.

Flirty Mermaid - Smells of berries and citrus with notes of white florals on a base of soft amber.

Vanilla Cupcake - A rich vanilla scent with a warm lingering sweetness.

Cotton Candy - A fruity blend of cotton candy, lemon drops, caramel, and raspberry on a dry down of musks.

Unicorn Kisses - A luscious passion fruit blended with citrus fruits and papaya with a hint of sweet vanilla.

They do make an unscented one if scented ones aren't your cup of tea.

August 2017 ipsy Review

Wednesday, August 30, 2017

Hi guys! It's time for my monthly ipsy review!

Let's get started...

This month was a little bit different. Our bags came in gold envelopes instead of the usual pink. And we received one of three different makeup bags {as shown above}. I was a little disappointed that I didn't get one of the other bags. But, it's no big deal. It's really all about the products. And I was happy with the ones in my bag this month.

The products in my bag:

- Naked Cosmetics HD Finishing Translucent Powder. I was excited to try this product out! It is super lightweight so it won't give you that cake face look like some other finishing powders out there. I've worn it a few times now and I really like it so far.

- SLMissGlam T35 Precise Blending Brush. It's no secret that I looove SLMissGlam brushes. Not only are they adorable but they're really soft and blend your eyeshadows beautifully. Oh, and did I mention that they are cruelty free!? Seriously what's not to love?

- Lancôme Monsieur Big Mascara. Guys, I am in love with this mascara! If you're looking for a mascara that gives you long thick lashes without any clumping, flaking, or smudging then this is the one for you. I wore it all day running errands in the heat and it did not move all day. Yeah, that's right. I didn't need to re-apply it in the middle of the day like I would with other mascaras. This product is amaze.

- Pacifica Coconut Blush Duo. Another product that I was thrilled to get in my bag this month. I am a huge fan of Pacifica and their products. They are always such great quality. This blush duo did not disappoint. The shades are super pretty, you can wear them separately or mix them together. They both give you a lovely and natural glow to your cheeks. If you want a more intense blush and glow you can definitely build it up. I loved that it came with a cute mirror on the back of it. It's perfect to put in your purse.

{Here's a closer look at the shades. They are my kind of blush colors for sure.}

- Labotica Honey & Bamboo Skin Soft Mask Set. I love when I get masks in my ipsy! I haven't tried anything from this brand before so I was curious to see how they were. I used the bamboo one the other day because my skin was feeling quite dry. This masks left my skin feeling so so soft & hydrated. I was super impressed and look forward to using the honey one soon.

--

My finial thoughts: I thought this month had some really nice products in it. I really enjoyed the blush duo and the blending brush. I feel like I'll get a lot of use out of them. The other products were lovely too! I can't wait to see what September's bag brings!

Marc Jacobs Highliner Matte Gel Eye Crayon Review

Tuesday, August 29, 2017

 Hey everyone! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today I wanted to talk about these super pretty Marc Jacobs eyeliners. I received these free through Crowdtap to test out. If you're not familiar with Crowdtap it's this awesome website that lets you earn Amazon gift cards and free samples in exchange for taking some quick surveys and giving honest reviews.

Okay now onto the fun stuff...

The award-winning Highliner Gel Matte Crayons are now available in high-impact matte!

I haven't tried out the originals, but I've heard amazing things about them. So I was excited to test these out. And boy was I super impressed when I did. Not only were they super creamy and easy to apply but they were insanely pigmented too! They for sure exceeded my exceptions which were pretty high to begin with. These dry down pretty fast and once they're dry it's impossible to smudge them.

Yeah, I said impossible. I don't use that word lightly. I swatched them (in a few different places on my arm/hand) and I pressed down on them and rubbed them VERY hard and they did not budge one bit. Then I did a bunch of house cleaning and the swatches were still there hours later looking just as fresh as when I first applied them. Pretty impressive huh?

I was sent the lovely shades Earth(Quake) and Pink Of Me. Two shades that I will definitely get a lot of use out of. I did wear the shade Earth(Quake) out the other day. It held up very well in the late August heat. These might be my new obsession...

{Here they are swatched on my arm. The first color is the shade Earth(Quake) and the second is in Pink Of Me. They are both so so pretty!}

Great job Marc Jabobs Beauty, you've done it again.

If you're in the market for fun unique eyeliners that are waterproof and super pigmented look no further. You can purchase these for $25 each on Marc Jacobs' website.

Thanks again Crowdtap and Marc Jacobs Beauty for sending me these to test out!

OKAY, CAN WE PLEASE TALK ABOUT HOW CUTE THIS BAG IS!? I'm a fan of all things Sanrio {Hello Kitty, My Melody, what's not to love??} Needless to say I was SO happy to see my cute little egg friend Gudetama.

Now to the good stuff...

What I got in my bag:

Beaute Basics Travel Face Blender in Light Pink. I really like this face blender! It's really soft and does a nice job at blending your foundation in. I was super impressed!!

 - tarte Amazonian clay waterproof bronzer in Park Ave Princess. I really love this bronzer! I have very fair skin and this gives me the perfect amount of warmth to my skin.

{Here's an closeup of it, so pretty right!?}

- TONYMOLY I'm Real Sheet Masks in Green Tea and Lotus. I've been dying to try some sheet masks from TONYMOLY. I haven't tried them yet. However, I have a very strong feeling that I'll love them! I was so excited to see these in my bag.

- OFRA Cosmetics  Eyeshadow in the shade Victory. I think this is a really pretty shade. I love OFRA's eyeshadows and highlighters so I can't wait to try this out!

{Here's a look at it.}

- COUGAR Beauty Products 24 Hour Liquid Lipstick in Mulberry. This is a really pretty shade & it feels really creamy and moisturizing on your lips. It goes on super smooth and easy too! I'll definitely be wearing this one a lot!

My overall thoughts on this month's bag: I loved this bag! It's probably my favorite one that I've gotten so far. The products were all so lovely and as I said above, the bag is super cute! I loved that they used a Sanrio character. I hope ipsy keeps hitting it out of the park!

Pure Body Naturals Charcoal Scrub Review

Wednesday, July 26, 2017

Hi guys! Today I wanted to do a quick little review on a product that I've been loving lately. And that's this charcoal face & body scrub from Pure Body Naturals. They were super nice and let me pick out some things to test after I wrote my blog post about their Dead Sea Mud Mask that I am obsessed with. {If you haven't checked that post out you can do so here.} Before we get into the review I feel like I should add that even though they sent me this for free to try out all opinions are 100% my own.

Okay so, onto the review...

Much like their other products this is so gentle on your skin. This scrub is heaven sent guys, I'm not joking. I've been using it on my face and it clears up any blemish you have in no time. I have also noticed that it helped minimize the pores on my nose. This scrub is full of wonderful ingredients such as Dead Sea salt, aloe vera juice, & coconut oil.

I've also been using it on my body. More specifically on my neck & shoulders because I tend to breakout on those spots during the summer. I'm happy to report that I haven't had a single breakout in those spots since using this product. It's my new obsession and it should be yours too.

{You can buy it here for $13 if you'd like.}

What are some of your favorite skin care products? Let me know down in the comments!!
