Hi there...

Wednesday, January 23, 2019

Hey guys! Did ya miss me? It’s been a while. A long while. It’s 2019 now, can you believe it? I sure can’t. I hope you’re all having a wonderful year so far.
I never intended to not post for this long. I’m deeply sorry for it.
 Life happens sometimes ya know?

So now that I’m back, I think it’s appropriate to fill you all in about where I’ve been & what I have been up to. Well, you might know all or most of this if you follow me on Instagram. ;)

I turned 23! We had a lovely little vacation in May to celebrate. I can’t believe that was nearly a year ago. Yikes!! I’ve been gone far too long.
We moved to Lawrence Kansas & I’m loving it here. We moved into this adorable 1900s house with a big porch & a porch swing. I can’t wait to start a little garden this spring/summer. I plan on doing a little house tour on here once it’s all step up {yes, we’re still working on some stuff}. Let me know if that’s something you’d be interested in! Maybe some gardening posts too!!
Also, my five year old son {soon to be six in February} started kindergarten! He is loving it.
I went to a Fleetwood Mac concert this past October. It was literally a dream come true. Stevie Nicks was as enchanting and lovely as you’d guess.

So... that’s pretty much what you’ve missed! You’re all caught up now.

I can’t wait to jump back into blogging. I have SO much that I’d like to share with you!

e.l.f. Cream Blush Palette Review

Monday, April 30, 2018

Hey guys! Happy Monday!! I hope that you all have a fantastic week. In a few days I'll be on my way to my little birthday getaway. I can't wait! :) Today I want to talk a little about a lovely little e.l.f. product! This post - as you've probably gathered by the title; is all about their cream blush. I was lucky enough to snag this gem back in March during their spring sale. e.l.f. is one of my favorite affordable makeup brands on the market. They have such lovely products that are great quality. They are cruelty free too so that is always a really wonderful thing!! Plus, they always have amazing deals going on on their website.

{The palette that I got is in Soft.}

{Here are some swatches of the blushes.}

My thoughts:
These blushes were all really pigmented and blended out very nicely & easily. I really love each shade in this palette as well. I think they're all very pretty and natural looking. I just love e.l.f. cosmetics so much. I highly recommend this little blush palette if you're a fan of cream blushes!

Shop here // e.l.f. cosmetics' website  - $6.00

Have you tried this before? If not what are some of your favorite blushes? Cream or otherwise. Drop a little comment below & let me know!

Thanks for stopping by, beauty! Hope to see you again soon.

VII Code Oxygen Eye Mask {for dark circles}

Saturday, April 28, 2018

Hello everyone! I AM BACK!! I hope that you're all doing great. After a little break I am feeling inspired to start blogging again, so here I am. What have you all been up to!? I missed you guys!! Today I wanted to talk to you about these little eye masks from VII Code. This brand was nice enough to reach out to me to try & review these for all of you lovely people out there on the web. As always my reviews are my 100% honest opinions. Just putting that out there. ;)

If you're reading this - you, like me probably have some dark circles under your beautiful peepers. They really suck, I know. I have had mine for as long back as I can remember. They appeared as if out of nowhere when I was very young. I remember being in grade school with them. I have tried lots and lots of eye creams and masks to try to fix them. Even using color correcting makeup and trying dozens upon dozens of concealers to hide them. Nothing ever did the trick.

In addition to helping reduce dark circles these eye masks also help reduce the appearance of fine lines, puffiness, & crow's feet. You're supposed to leave these masks on for up to eight hours. They recommend sleeping in them - that's what I did. They also say that if you're not wanting to sleep in them you can leave them on for four hours during the day or evening.

I personally found them comfortable to sleep in. They were very gentle on my skin. My skin didn't burn or anything like that. Which is an issue I've had in the past with some other eye masks. When I woke up I took them off and washed my face and followed my regular skincare routine.

{Here is what they look like on.}

{Here is the after. And yes, I am blonde-ish now. It happend yesterday and I kind of love it. I am wearing light makeup so keep that in mind. You can still see some slight dark circles. I am happy with how much better they look.}

My finial thoughts:

After using these eye masks I have noticed a difference. Do I still have my dark circles? Yes. Did I expect this product to make them disappear forever? No. Did the masks help lighten them? YES. Am I pleased with the results? ABSOLUTELY. Would I recommend them to people looking to help treat their dark circles? YUP. Would I purchase them myself? Yes, and I plan on it!

Shop here: Amazon $57.99 | VII Code website  $58.00
{Their website also has more helpful & useful information about the masks!}

Have you guys tried these? If not have you tried other eye masks? What ones were your favorites? Let me know down in the comments!

Thanks so much for dropping by!

Jouer Funfetti Lip Topper Review

Sunday, December 24, 2017

Hey lovelies! Welcome back to my little corner of the internet. Today I wanted to share a fun product with you guys. This is the holographic Funfetti Lip Topper from Jouer. It is a beautiful opal with a lovely pink shift to it. This is a must have product if you love glittery things. You add it on top of your lip color to add a bit of extra sparkle and shine. It is made with coconut oil, jojoba oil, and vitamin E. All ingredients to keep your lips looking and feeling soft & beautiful. If you're worried about it making your lips feel sticky fear not - unlike other glosses this feels so so lightweight and natural on your lips. It also smells so amazing, it has a sweet sent to it like frosting.

Here it is on top of a lipstick and then mixed with a little bit of the color on the bottom. It's so gorgeous!

Just look at all of the glitter! It is so stunning.

You can buy this product for $16 on Jouer's website. 20% of the net proceeds of this lip topper will go to UNICEF. So that's awesome!

Have you tried a lip topper from Jouer? If so what were your thoughts? Let's talk in the comments below!

Stark Frontier Define-Set-Pluck Essentials Set Review

Saturday, December 23, 2017

Hey guys! Today I wanted to share my giveaway prize that I won over on Instagram from @beautyandabeatface and @starkfrontier.

The kit comes with everything that you'll need to create the prefect set of brows. Tweezers, a brow pencil, and a brow gel to keep your brows in place all day. AND a super cute travel case to keep it all in! I am so happy that I won this giveaway. The products are all really nice and high quality. The tweezers were perfect for getting those little hairs that like to linger around your eyebrows. The pencil was great at filling in my brows and giving them a nice, full, and natural look. The gel locked it all in place. I was very pleased with this kit and I'll for sure be getting a lot of use out of all of it.

If you have an Instagram I highly recommend that you check out @beautyandabeatface's account. They post really lovely makeup shots and are super sweet.

December 2017 ipsy Review

Friday, December 22, 2017

Hi guys! Thanks for dropping by my little blog. Today I wanted to share what I got in my glam bag this month. This will be the last month that I will be getting ipsy for a while. Not because I am disappointed with it but because I don't have the extra $10 a month for it at the moment.

This months bag was really pretty! I loved the touch of glitter on the top. The contents of the bag this month were really nice too.

What I got in my bag:

- Purlisse Beauty Coconut + Rice Nourishing Sheet Mask AND Green Tea + Ginger Rejuvenating Sheet Mask. I used the coconut one the other night and I was very happy with it! It left my skin feeling sooo soft and smooth. I am a fan of other Purlisse products but have never tried their masks before. I will definitely be buying sheet masks from them in the future.

- OFRA Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in ipsy Unzipped. I really love this shade! It's such a lovely berry color - perfect to wear year round. The formula is super soft & silky. It feels very moisturizing on your lips. The color is very long lasting too which is always a major plus with any lipstick.

Here's a little swatch for you to see the color. Isn't it pretty???

- Pixi by Petra Mesmerizing Mineral Duo in Orchid Ornament. Okay, I am seriously in love with these colors!! They are very pigmented and have a beautiful shimmer to them.

Here they are swatched for you.
 - Luxie Beauty Precision Shader Onyx Brush 239. GUYS THIS BRUSH IS SO GOOD. It really helps you evenly blend your eyeshadow into your crease. It's super soft too!

- Trestique Mini Brow Pencil in Espresso. I love a good brow product and this one is great. It's mini so it's prefect to keep in your purse for on-the-go touch ups. It has an angled tip which makes it a little easier to fill in your brows and helps make it look natural.

My overall thoughts: I really enjoyed my bag this month. I thought that it was really cute and the products were all really nice and things that I will use.

Givenchy Le Rouge Sculpt Two-Tone Lipstick Review

Thursday, December 21, 2017

 Hey everyone, welcome back to my little blog. I'm so sorry that I haven't been on for a while! I have been busy moving and taking care of my rowdy 4 year old son Liam. And obviously busy with Christmas planning. Anyway, I wanted to do a little review on these lovely Givenchy lipsticks today.

These lipsticks are pretty cool. They are two-toned. When applied the outer color is supposed to line and contour your lips and the inner shade highlights your lips. I think this is an interesting and innovative product. I was excited to try them out and see what it's all about.

The colors that I will be talking about today are 01 Rouge {it's a black with a vibrant red} and 02 Violine {a pretty berry color with a fun red pink}. I will say as someone who isn't a fan of black lipstick that I was very surprised by the 01 Rouge. It wasn't a deep black to me it was more of a purple grey when both swatched and on lips. 02 Violine is a gorgeous shade, I think the mulberry like color is very unique. Both lipsticks are stunning and the formula is heavenly - when applied they go on smoothly and feel super hydrating on your lips. They are lightweight lipsticks which is something that I personally really love in a lipstick.

Here are the lipsticks swatched for you. On the top we have the shade 01 Rouge and on the bottom we have 02 Violine. Aren't they both SO pretty!? *Hearts fly out of head and drools a little*

UGH. They are so beautiful I literally cannot get over it.

These shades and others are available to purchase on Sephora's website for $38 here.

{Thank you for reading!}
