February ipsy Glam Bag Review

Thursday, February 16, 2017

Hi guys! It's time to review my February ipsy bag for you!

{If you haven't joined ipsy yet I highly recommend that you do! Feel free to use my referral link!}

Okay, so let's start...

Products that I got in my bag:

Biobelle #StayGorgeous and #Iwokeuplikethis Sheet Masks.  I used the #StayGorgeous sheet mask last night. My skin was feeling very dry from being outside in the wind the day before. This mask made my skin feel very moisturized after and super soft! I can't wait to use the other one!
- NYX Professional Makeup Butter Lipstick.  I received the shade Lifeguard. This lip color is so creamy and moisturizing! The shade is also really pretty.
- BelláPierre Cosmetics Volumelash Waterproof Mascara. This is such an awesome mascara! It gave my lashes a lot of volume and it stayed on all day long. It also didn't bother my very sensitive eyes.
- Luxie Beauty Rose Gold Blush Brush 514. This brush is so so soft and applies your blush very nicely and evenly! Luxie makes amazing makeup brushes, the quality is A+.
- Hikari Cosmetics Cream Pigment Eyeshadow. This is in the shade Latte, it's a beautiful metallic copper color. It's shimmery and the perfect eyeshadow color for me. I just love shades like this! The formula is really creamy and goes on so easily. You also won't have any issues with fallout from this product.
Lisa Hoffman Jade Quartz Fragrance Bracelet. I redeemed some of my points and got this pretty bracelet. I thought that this would be pretty cool to try out. You put the fragrance beads in the little ball charm and then the fragrance is slowly released. The fragrance beads are supposed to last a few weeks and then you refill it. I received the French Clary Sage Fragrance Beads. They smell so lovely and crisp.

My overall thoughts:

I really enjoyed the contents in this month's bag. I was really happy to be getting more sheet masks this month. I feel like the bag itself wasn't very creative this month. However, I can overlook that because I really loved all of the products that I got!!

Valentine's Day

Wednesday, February 15, 2017

Hello everyone! I hope that you all had a lovely Valentine's Day yesterday.
I wanted to share some photos with you from my day yesterday. :)

My breakfast. We went to this little diner that we live near and I had to get French toast and coffee. It was very good!

 Next we headed to town to do some shopping!

My favorite person and I.

A chili cheese dog and fries for dinner.

Funnel cake fries.

We ended the night with a movie, of course.

And last, some photos and some candies I picked up from the cute little Scandinavian store.

Thank you for dropping by!

What's In My Bag {Currently}

Saturday, February 04, 2017

Hi there! Welcome back to my blog! I'm sorry that I didn't post much last month. :(
I have some posts planned for this month that I hope you'll enjoy. Today I thought that I'd share with you what's in my bag.

Let's get started...

As you can see I have mostly makeup items in my purse {not all that surprising}. I like to carry around the makeup products that I am currently using for touch-ups that might be needed while I'm out and about. I also carry some hair ties, bobby pins, and a bow hair clip {because why not?}. And last but not least - lip balm. I have lots of lip balms. The two that are pictured above are the ones that I'm currently using most often.

The products:

- Blush by ModelCo Cosmetics. If you read my last post you saw that I received this in my January ipsy bag. I've been using this lately and I really like it. It's a really beautiful shade {Peach Bellini}
and it goes on so easily.
- A small travel size blush brush from EcoTools. This came in a set with other travel size brushes. I like it because it's small and I can just pop it in my bag and go. The bristles are also very soft and it applies my blush nicely.
- A lip gloss from Anastasia Beverly Hills. I've talked about this before on here. This is in the shade Metallic Rose. I love putting this on top of a pink lipstick. It adds some sparkle and shimmer to my makeup look. It also has a pretty scent to it and doesn't feel sticky on your lips.
Manna Kadar Cosmetics 3-in-1 eyeshadow. I also got this in my ipsy bag last month. I've been using it both as a highlighter and an eyeshadow. It's a lovely shade and has a beautiful glow to it.
Burt's Bees Vanilla Bean Lip Balm. This is an all time favorite of mine. It really helps moisturize your lips. And I enjoy the light vanilla scent.
- Purlisse Daily Lip Nourisher. I received this in a previous ipsy bag a few months ago. It has mango and shea butter in it. It really helps keep your lips looking and feeling healthy. If you have dry or cracked lips this will for sure help heal and repair your lips. You can also put it on before you apply your lipstick and it will help boost the color.
- Now for the hair things. It's always a good idea to keep some hair ties and clips in your bag. The hair ties and bobby pins pictured are from the brand Goody, the bow clip is from Forever21
- Purse is from Lulu Guinness.
* Not pictured is a comb and a pocket mirror. I always carry those in my purse as well.

January 2017 ipsy Review

Saturday, January 21, 2017

Hi everyone! Welcome back to my blog. :) Sorry that I haven't posted recently. I've had a case of the 'blahs'. However, I'm back now! I got my January ipsy bag in the mail a few days ago and I am dying to share it with you guys!! I think product wise it's the best bag I have received so far!

{If you haven't signed up for ipsy yet and you'd like to, feel free to use my referral link.}

What I got in my bag:

- Sally's Box Loverecipe AcaiBerry Mask & Loverecipe Aloe Mask. I love face masks, so I was excited to see not one but TWO face masks in my ipsy bag! I have heard good things about this brand on some skin care accounts that I follow over on Instagram. I'm very much looking forward to having a relaxing night in the near future and trying one of these out!
- SLMissGlam Blend Beauty Brush L34. I have been wanting to try SLMissGlam's makeup brushes for quite sometime now (I follow them on Instagram and their products are magical and fit for a princess!) This brush is pastel purple with like rose gold accents {two of my favorite colors} and just so adorable. The bristles feel really soft too! I'll be using this next time I do my makeup for sure.
- ModelCo BLUSH Cheek Powder in Peach Bellini. This is such a beautiful peach shade. I love natural and neutral shades of blush so I'm very excited to try this!!
- F.U.N Lacquer TGIF. This is a really fun sparkly gold color. I'm a huge fan of nail polish, the color gold, and all things sparkly so I really love this one. I cannot wait to paint my nails with this! I'm predicting a mini at home spa day soon. ;)
- Manna Kadar Cosmetics Fantasy 3-in-1 Eyeshadow. This product is a highlighter, blush, and eyeshadow in one. That appeals to me. And the shade is my kind of shade, it's light and neutral with a slight shimmer to it.

My final thoughts: This month's bag was really fun! It had a nice range of products. All products that I will have fun trying out and get a lot of use out of.  Like I said above, I think it's my favorite bag yet. I'm very happy with it!

What products did you get in your ipsy bag this month!? xo

My Go To Hair Products

Saturday, January 07, 2017

Hi guys! Today I thought that I'd share my go to hair products with you. I have thick/wavy hair that has the tendency to be a bit frizzy from time to time. These are products that I use most often. I tend to switch my hair care products around a lot and use many different shampoos/conditioners.

Products:

- Garnier Whole Blends Honey Treasures. I really love this shampoo and conditioner. It has made my hair stronger, healthier, and shinier. It keeps frizz to a minimum as well and it also helps repair your split ends. They have a whole amazing line of other Whole Blend products to fit a wide variety of hair types. {Shop here}
- L'Oréal Paris Hair Expertise EverPure Repair & Defend Lotion. After I am done washing my hair I use this on the ends of my hair to help with split ends. {Shop here}
- Not Your Mother's Beach Babe. First off, I am obsessed with NYM's products. They have so many great ones! There's literally a product for everyone! If you haven't checked them out yet - what are you waiting for!?  Okay, ANYWAY, I use this product to help enhance my waves. I feel like my hair isn't as wavy in the front as it is in the back and on the sides (I dunno maybe I'm just crazy). This works very well though, it adds a lot of texture to your hair. It will give you a great messy beachy look. It's great for when you're too tired to put a lot of effort into a hairstyle. {Shop here}
- Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Tousling Hair Mousse. I have been using this product for a long time now. A little goes a long way so it should last you a long time. It has a lovely floral scent to it which I really like. It holds in my waves in place and helps with any frizz. It doesn't leave my hair feeling sticky or hard like some other mousses do. It also is very lightweight and doesn't weigh my hair down. {Shop here}
- Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Hairspray. This product is from the same line as the one mentioned above. So, it also helps with holding waves in place, has a nice smell, and helps keeps frizz away. {Shop here}
- Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo. As I said above, I'm a huge fan of NYM. This is probably my favorite dry shampoo. It refreshes my hair and makes it look freshly washed. In my opinion everyone should have a dry shampoo around! {Shop here}

Well that's it! Thank you for stopping by and checking out a few of my favorite hair products!
Have you tried any of these products? What are your go to hair products?

A Lazy January Day

Thursday, January 05, 2017

Hi there! Happy 2017! I wanted to post a few more posts at the end of 2016 but I got sick a few days after Christmas and I just didn't feel up to doing very much. :(
I hope that you all had lovely holidays with your loved ones and I hope that 2017 is treating you well so far!

Today I just wanted to do a relaxed little post because I'm having a lazy day. I've done a bit of cleaning around the house, listened to some records, had some tea, and played some Animal Crossing.

My day:

{A few of my Christmas gifts from Peter. I'm obsessed with the movie Drive and I really love the soundtrack so he got me it on vinyl. I've also been really wanting this pastel pink Instax camera for some time and now I finally have one! Be prepared for lots of snaps!}

{New Leaf and some tea.}

{My cat Sylar enjoying this lovely January day. He loves looking that the snow.}
